Dental implants are secured onto jawbone under local anaesthesia. Therefore, you will not feel any pain during the procedure. You may feel some pain 3-4 hours after the operation, when anaesthesia wears off. Level of this pain varies from one person to another, but basically it is not unbearable. Your dentist will most definitely prescribe you painkillers to handle this issue.
