Today the target audience of orthodontics as well as field of practice have expanded significantly. Recent studies have shown that with preventive dentistry gaining popularity all over the world, awareness among people has increased while the number of tooth decay incidents dropped significantly. As a result, interest towards orthodontics due to diseases created by factors like developmental disabilities and various harmful habits (such as biting your lips, long-term baby bottle usage, thumb sucking, etc.) vastly increased.
