What is Adhesive System (Bonding)?
Adhesive system describes placing all kinds of additional material integrated onto tooth to change its colour, enlarge, or treat a flaw. The materials used with this purpose (micropyle agents) can easily attach themselves onto outer surface of tooth, and eliminate shape and colour deficiencies.
Bonding has become a very commonly practiced dentistry practice these days. In most cases, this process is completed with minimum tooth loss.
Do I feel pain during this process?
No! In most cases this process can be applied even without anesthetizing teeth.
Does it look natural?
Yes! When applied by a dentist competent in dental cosmetics, it will look natural.
Will teeth colour slightly change over time in adhesive system?
Micropyle agents are acquired with most advanced techniques, and their structure is almost identical to teeth, therefore they change colour on a similar pace to that of teeth. When surface roughness is minimised via polishing, stain resistance increases. Potential stains caused by outer agents (coffee, cigarettes, coke, tea, etc.) can be cleaned during regular dentist visits.
Do teeth with this system require special care?
There are some limitations. You must avoid biting hard objects such as ice or sugar cubes, and stay away from bad habits like biting your nails.
How long does adhesive system last?
It depends on quality of used material and dentist’s skill. Recently produced high technology material lifetime is 5 to 10 years. Bonding (adhesive system) can be applied to a tooth that had the same procedure before.
Is this procedure expensive?
It is generally more affordable in comparison to other aesthetic procedures. Final price is determined by selected material and treatment type.
How long does this treatment take?
This treatment, which will provide you with a beautiful and confident smile, is generally completed in one session (15 minutes to 1 hour). Number of sessions depends on procedure to implement.
Is this procedure available for everyone?
Yes! This treatment can be applied in almost all age groups. Children, adolescents, adults and seniors, all can improve their smile and appearance with this method.
